The message of this piece is fused in its subject, shape and finish — that, on the physical plane, all things are transient. They age, change, fade away. The shape — a waning moon; the figure — a maturing woman; the finish — a rusting metal; all of which support its harsh intention.

And yet the essence of the figure is strong still; and beauty endures on a different level — in the intensity of the spirit within which transcends physical erosion.
